What is Calming Captures?

"Calming captures" refers to photographs or images that evoke a sense of peace, relaxation, tranquility, or serenity. These are visuals that have a soothing effect on the viewer, often depicting serene landscapes, gentle nature scenes, tranquil waters, lush forests, sunsets, starry skies, or any imagery that promotes a sense of calmness and inner peace.

These captures are intended to create a calming atmosphere and evoke positive emotions, making them ideal for various purposes such as home decor, stress-relief tools, mindfulness aids, or simply for visual enjoyment and relaxation.

 

Why do we exist?

As being someone who has struggled for years with mental health and stress management issues I wanted to find something simple to take back a moment of control. When I discovered the neuroscience behind landscape photography and affirmations the idea came to life and I implemented it in my office. I found myself being more at peace and gave me a reminder to relax.  Calming Captures exist to create products that reduce stress and anxiety, as well as, encourage others to take your PTO and travel to these various destinations! 

 

What are the phycological benefits? 

Designed as a mindfulness tool for busy professionals, entrepreneurs, nurturing moms, and spiritual nature enthusiasts, our collection features artfully crafted prints on various products. Harnessing the power of landscape photography—known to reduce cortisol levels—paired with affirmations activating self-reward areas in the brain, our products are more than décor; they're your pathway to serenity.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS:

What are the products made of? Are they safe?

All products are shipped and created at various print on demand manufacturers in the USA. The products are safe and have to go through an inspection before printing. 

I loved the product and would like to rate it. How do I do that?

SHIPPING:

What are the shipping options?

We use shopify’s shipping and calculator 

What are the international taxes, duties etc., that I have to pay?

Currently, we are not shipping internationally. 

 When will I receive my order?

Please allow each order 5-11 business days as some products may take longer than others to produce. We try our best to keep shipping time at a minimum, but there may be a time when delays are to be expected such as weather issues, and holidays. 

 What do I do if I never receive my order?

If you received an email notification of the order and it is past the delivery date please contact erica@calmingcaptures.us and she will be happy to accommodate!

 

RETURNS:

What is the return policy?

Eligibility for Refunds and Exchanges:

For us to process your return or exchange, please ensure the following:

- Your item must remain unused and in its original condition, just as you received it.

- Keep the item in its original packaging.

- Don't forget to include your receipt or proof of purchase.

Remember, only regular priced items are eligible for refunds; sale items cannot be refunded. If your purchase was marked as a gift and sent directly to you, we'll issue a gift credit for the return's value.

What do I do if there’s a defective order?

We're happy to replace items if they arrive defective or damaged. Should you need to exchange an item for the same one, please reach out to us below, and we'll provide you with instructions on where to send your item.
