TRAVELING SOLO IS FANTASTIC!!!

Scenic drive in Rocky Mountains National Park, Colorado

Everyone has their own unique travel style and preferences. Some love theme parks, others may enjoy dark tourism, mountains, beaches, cities, roadside attractions, spiritual trips, religious journeys, historic sites, haunted places, food, art, nature, you get it. The world is vast of unique experiences for all interests. So why let the fear of going alone hold you back? To be honest, I LOVE TRAVELING SOLO. People look at me like I’m an alien when I tell people I’m going somewhere on my own. I think it’s my mom mostly 😅

Once you get over the hump of fear it’s very exhilarating, it’s almost as if you have a different persona, no one knows who you are or what your name holds. You have confidence to talk to people you normally wouldn’t. You get comfortable with who you are as a person, and you discover how you’d want to change yourself to be a better person. The best part is, you don’t have to compromise or play guessing games and you can take up as much time as you need.

I do love traveling with friends and family, BUT there's something different about spending two hours in a crystal shop and not having to worry if a friend is bored or the judgment of spending over $150 on crystals and spiritual books that will just end up on a shelf. Or, having a 40 minute conversation with a stranger connecting on a soulful level never knowing their name and damn well knowing you’ll never meet again. BUT, you will always remember those moments and the genuine connection.

There is this thrill, this connection, and this genuine divine feeling you get when you know you are having a moment you wouldn’t have been able to experience if you would have brought someone you know with you. It may seem selfish but it’s so fulfilling. My secret is loving people and knowing that everyone is unique and has their own story. We as humans have such a unique gift of communication and connecting with another but we have to learn to love and believe in kindness. I think when you show kindness to one person, you’re often surprised by what you would learn from them. It’s like one of my favorite songs by Hozier

However, you still have to know your boundaries and limits as some will try to take advantage of your kindness. That’s when you throw them the crazy eyes. 👀

So go take that trip you’ve been dreaming of and go alone. Push yourself outside your comfort zone and treat yourself of no compromising and doing what you want!
